A big thank you to Dawn

Dawn Reay

The email below came from a Learner who was supported by Dawn Reay, ICT Apprenticeship Assessor when applying for an Apprenticeship vacancy.

From: Becki Roberts

To: Dawn Reay
Subject: Thank you, regarding interview techniques
Dawn,

This is Rebecca Roberts - I'm not sure you remember me, but I really wanted to thank you for helping me with the interview techniques.

I really want to thank you a because your techniques helped me with my interview this year :) I researched the company and prepared my questions, I got asked to a 2nd interview and got a job offer on the spot! I now work as a sales assistant, as you said it's a side step not a back step, I'm hoping to work my way up from here and eventually become a manager; because I have the determination and potential to do anything, I know I will make it.

Even though I didn't get the apprenticeship, I did not waste any time because you were so helpful.

Best wishes (and a belated happy new year)

Rebecca Roberts

Qualifications and Credit Framework

QCF update

From January 2011 all accredited vocational qualifications will be on the Qualifications and Credit Framework.  The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) is a new way of recognising achievement through the award of credits for units and qualifications.  It provides flexible routes to gaining full qualifications, and enables qualifications to be achieved in smaller steps.  We offer the new QCF in Retail Skills L2 and L3 and ICT L2 and L3. The transition of NVQ's (National Vocational Qualifications) in Business Administration, Health and Social Care, Hospitality and Customer Service are due to change September 2010.
